Why: Join us for this Live Healthy Sheldon wellness education session! So many of us head to the grocery store and are overwhelmed by the choices – let Sheila help you demystify the healthy grocery shopping experience. We have the power of choice to decide which foods to buy at the grocery store. Making the healthiest food choices when shopping and eating out is a key to consuming a well-balanced diet.

Amber will tell us the benefits of improving our flexibility, teach us proper stretching technique, and even get us moving with some great exercises and stretches!

Why: Join us for this Live Healthy Sheldon wellness education session! Despite study after study supporting the benefits of strength training, many women still opt for cardio over weight training. Maybe we’re worried about “bulking up”…? So what's the secret to looking toned (think: Michelle Obama’s arms) but not…tough? Strength training. Let one of our personal trainers introduce you to the strength room, exercises to help you tone and strengthen, and ease your weightlifting fears.

Why: Many women experience problems related to stretched, damaged and/or weakened pelvic floor muscles (back pain, incontinence, pelvic pain, etc.). There is much more that can be done than doing traditional Kegels exercises. Come find out what you can do to prevent and/or alleviate problems as you age.

Hy-Vee Wellness Bus comes to Sheldon/LLRC
Have you been told you have high cholesterol or pre-diabetes? Do you even know what your cholesterol level is? Maybe it is time to schedule a “nutrition checkup” with the Hy-Vee Wellness Bus! More information will be shared with Live Healthy Sheldon participants regarding the Wellness Bus schedule, screenings, etc. as this date gets closer. Pre-registration will be required.
