Application Checklist

 

  1. Fill out your application for admission to Northwest Iowa Community College and submit the $10 non-refundable application fee. (Application fee is waived if application for admission is submitted online.)
  2. Complete an entrance assessment test. NCC will accept the ACT, SAT, ASSET or NCC entrance exam if it has been taken within the last five years. If you need to take an assessment test, call NCC at 712-324-5061, 800-352-4907 or email Student Services to set up a COMPASS appointment.
  3. Request that your high school transcripts, GED test results, and other college transcripts be sent to NCC. Remember that these need to be official, so make sure that you have the school/institution send them directly to:

    Sheldon, IA  51201
Transcripts and GED test results are not required for students who do not plan to seek a degree at NCC.

After you are accepted as a student at NCC, remember to apply for financial aid on the Federal Student Aid website.  For more information on the types of financial aid available, click here
