Late registrations and drop-ins permissible if room is available. 75 Hour Certified Nurse Aide This course is 75 hours in length and meets the requirements for taking the Nursing Assistant Certification Exam which qualifies personnel to work as a nursing assistant in Long-Term Care. The purpose of the course is to develop the basic skills to care for elderly. This course consists of 30 hours of lecture, 30 hours of clinical and 15 hours of simulated lab time. This course offers 3 hours of college credit. *Fee includes the tuition, textbook, materials, and State Competency testing fees. Need-based tuition assistance may be available. Uniform/scrubs, white shoes, and a watch with a second hand are required for the clinical portion of the course. State competency testing is scheduled several times each month. Appointments are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.
