Education: Running, marathons, biking

Best known for: Running; ran Boston Marathon in 2001.

How current students would describe me:
One who wants the student to learn and does everything in his power to insure that they do.

Powerline is a program that can give you a feeling of satisfaction at the end of a day. It's a program that enables you to start a career where what you do every day, all day long effects how people function in everyday life.

Year I came to NCC: 1996

Education: Graduate of NITC Powerline program (NCC).

Work experience other than teaching at NCC: 5 1⁄2 years at Interstate Power Company - 6 months at Clinton, Iowa, 6 months at Mason City, Iowa, and 4 1⁄2 years at St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Hobbies/Favorite things: Boating, working on cars, and listening to music.

Best known for: My passionate interest of the Power Industry.

How current students would describe me:
I like to have fun when its time to have fun, but I take things very seriously when there is work to be done.

Why you should choose this program:
It is a one year program that has an excellent post education job outlook with very good pay potential. Powerline is great for people who enjoy the outdoors.

Year I came to NCC: 1989

Education: Graduated from Northwest Iowa Technical College (NCC).

Work experience other than teaching at NCC: I worked for Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, a rural electric cooperative serving several counties in northwest Iowa.

Hobbies/Favorite things: Spending time with my family. I am a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and an instructor for Fire and Rescue.

Best known for: My hands-on Three Phase Transformers Connections Classes here, and at utility schools.

Why you should choose this program:
Powerline is a great field to get into with a great future.
