GED Testing & Test Preparation

The GED Tests allow people to prove what they know.

The GED Tests serve only one purpose--to certify a high school level of academic knowledge and skills. The GED Tests certify these competencies, no matter where or in what manner the
individual learned them.

The GED Tests demand achievement.

To earn a credential, a candidate must complete a battery of five tests covering Math, Science, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. The tests measure skills in communications, information processing, problem solving, and critical thinking.

The GED Tests offer an opportunity to grow.

Northwest Iowa Community College accepts the GED credential as equivalent to a traditional high school diploma. Most employers consider those who have earned their GED diploma the same as traditional high school graduates with regard to employment.

Testing for the GED is done on campus at NCC.
