High school students who are enrolled in college classes at NCC must meet the same admission requirements as all other students, including ACT or Compass. Admissions and Extended Learning will work with high school counselors to communicate with students about the requirements. As we go forward all high school students will need to take one of the exams before taking a college course, but for now there are two specific requirements.
- Students enrolled full-time in CTE courses are required to take Compass.
- Most high school students are considered part-time, non-degree seeking students and only have to take ACT or Compass when there is a minimum level of competency required to take a specific course, for instance, Math or Composition.
